Franklin 5k

Theta Tau’s main philanthropy event is our Franklin 5k in the spring. The Franklin 5k is the oldest and one of the largest 5ks at UNC Chapel Hill. Our members start planning this event early in the year and consistently raise over $60,000 for UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, Chapel Hill Breast Cancer Foundation, The Arc of the Triangle, Ashton’s Angels, and the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation. Theta Tau has raised nearly $300,000 over the past 5 years! Zetas look forward to the Franklin 5k all year long, and we are extremely proud of our event.

big man on campus

Our chapter works year-round in preparation to host our second largest philanthropy event, Big Man on Campus (BMOC). BMOC is a collegiate all-male talent competition that occurs on campus every October. Contestants from different campus organizations compete to raise funds for breast cancer education and awareness, and they are judged based on interview, dance, and talent. This is one of the most fun philanthropy events on our campus - you don’t want to miss it!
